The Champions League Round of 16 draw has taken place and there are some real juicy ties we can look forward to. With the group stages over and done with and the whipping boys gone, it's time to get down for the serious business.

Juventus v Tottenham was the first out of the hat and it will be one of the ties of the round. Tottenham have never won the CHmapions League but on their day, they are one of the best teams in Europe. Juventus are always strong and were beaten finalists last year, but I think Spurs will be too strong for Juve.

Basel v Manchester City is quite a favourable tie for the Premier League leaders and although there are no easy ties, they will be confident of progressing. I believe Man City will be way too strong and demolish Basel.

Porto v Liverpool is an interesting tie, but I believe Liverpool will beat the Portuguese outfit. Porto won't be a pushover, but on their day, Liverpool, who have one of the most exciting attacking forces in Europe will be too strong.

Sevilla v Manchester United is going to be close. United will be favourites but I wouldn't write Sevilla off. If I was to bet money, I would say United will win.

Real Madrid v PSG is arguably the most mouthwatering tie. PSG are one of the big guns in Europe now and will be hopeful and expectant of winning the trophy this season. Madrid haven't been firing on all cyclinders this season, but they know how to win big games. I believe Madrid will edge this one.

Shakhtar Donetsk v AS Roma will be an unpredictable outcome. Roma will be favourites, but travelling to Ukraine in February is never easy. I think Roma will edge it, but I wouldn't put my house on it.

Chelsea v Barcelona is going to be an epic tie. Chelsea aren't as strong as last season, but you can never write them off. Barcelona are the favourites for the Champions League and if they play to their peak, I think they will go through. Probably the most exciting of the round awaits.

Bayern Munich v Besiktas should see the Germans through. Besiktas will be no pushovers, however. They won their group and are in the Ro16 on merit, but Bayern know how to win the big matches.
