Real Madrid announced that it had ended its collaboration with Julen Lopetegui.The decision to expel Lopetegui was taken by the Real Madrid Board of Directors after holding a meeting on Monday local time. The Lopetegui position will temporarily be occupied by Santiago Solari.This step is taken by management because of the poor results obtained by Los Merengues. Lopetegui's squad failed to win in five consecutive matches in La Liga 2018-2019.In fact, in the last match Sergio Ramos and his friends had to accept the fact of 1-5 defeat of Barcelona in the El Clasico match at Camp Nou on Sunday.That defeat makes Lopetegui's position increasingly cornered."The club thanks Julen Lopetegui and staff for the work that has been done.
