Terry who had a glorious 19 years with Chelsea, winning 17 major titles which included five Premier League titles and one Champions League has decided to finally call it quit.

He left Chelsea in the Summer of 2016 to join Aston Villa and captained the side to the Playoffs where they lost to Fulham in a quest to return to the English top flight.

The 37-year old was rumoured to be joining Sporting Lisbon earlier in the summer which failed to happen and was also linked with the Russian League which also did not see the light of the day.

The former Chelsea captain was capped 78 times by England before his international career was cut short after he was stripped off the captain's armband, following accusations of cheating with his ex-teammate's wife.

Terry is now reported to be likely to join Thierry Henry as an Assistant Manager for the vacant Aston Villa job with the former Arsenal man said to be in pole position to replace the sacked Steve Bruce.
