The G.O.A.T. got us.

Well for the Chiefs football organization the season came to an end last night. I have been lucky enough to be at every home game this season and it has been a great experience. I was wearing 3 layers of thermals and a coat and overalls to keep from freezing but it was worth it. We have finally got a good quarter back leading us. This kid is amazing and got MVP his first year in the league. His lack of experience showed in the first half when the Chiefs put up a big fat 0 for points. They did adjust during half time and came out gunning. They tied up the game and even took the lead. There were some interesting calls made by the officials and were not received well by the crowd but that is football. Inside the last minute, the Patriots scored and took the lead leaving almost no chance for anything but defeat. Our new guy "showtime Mahomes " came out and got us in striking distance and the game was tied up.

Sudden Death Overtime

For the folks that do not follow American football, this means the first team to score a touchdown wins.
If came down to a coin toss and the Patriots the flip. the elected to go first and of course, that was a bad scenario for us when you have a defense that has been notoriously unreliable and you are pitting them against the G.O.A.T. , the one, and only Tom Brady. Love him or hate him it does not matter. He is good. Standing in the cold watching Tom march his team down the field against out helpless defense was a sad sight to see and the loss really sucked but at the end of the day, it really highlighted the weak point of the team and what needs to be fixed in the offseason. It is very reminiscent of the Royals trip to the world series a few years ago where they came up just short and then fixed the weak spots and won the whole damn thing the next year. If the Chiefs fix their defense and pick up a few more offensive weapons they will be unstoppable next year.
