Barcelona are willing to sell Luis Suarez in the summer - but only on one condition

Barcelona are willing to let Luis Suarez walk away from Nou Camp this summer - but only if Antoine Griezmann joins.

Former Liverpool striker Suarez has been a key member of Barca's La Liga winning side - with the hit man bagging 30 times despite a sluggish start to the season.

The Uruguayan has been a mainstay of the Nou Camp team after moving from Anfield four years ago for £65million.

But according to Catalunya Radio, Barca bosses would allow Suarez to depart when the window opens.

That is because they are confident of bringing in France megastar Griezmann from Atletico Madrid - after he snubbed a switch to Manchester United.

Winger Griezmann signed a new contract last summer which saw his release clause fee halve from €200 million (£175m) to €100m (£87m) from July 1 this year.

Suarez has previously admitted he would be happy to see Griezmann arrive in Catalonia.

"It makes the club proud to bring players of this quality like Antoine, like [Ousmane] Dembele and [Philippe] Coutinho came," Suarez told Spanish station Radio Rincon.

"He’s a player who brings a huge amount, he has a lot of years playing at the highest level, always fighting.

"He rules up front for Atletico and that is fundamental.

"He is not coming to take the place of anyone, but with the ambition of winning important things.

"He will be welcomed."
