This year with @outlinez we made apple vinegar for the first time. It's not difficult at all, it doesn't take much time, and the result is more than good! Homemade apple cider vinegar is universal - in addition to its use in the kitchen for cooking and winterizing, it is also used for cleaning at home and even in hair care.
We used delicious apples, sugar, water and a vinegar sponge (that our neighbor gave us).
To tell you the truth, I read a lot of recipes, but in the end I decided to make it my way and it turned out very well.
I cleaned the apples and cut them into pieces. I put them in a jar and added sugar. I filled the jars with water, added the vinegar sponge and covered with cheesecloth that I secured with a rubber band.
For two weeks, we stirred the mixture in the jars every day, and then every few days. After about a month, I strained the mixture through cheesecloth, poured it into glass bottles and let it stand for a few more days.
We are already using it and I am very happy with the result.
