Should the carer Of Florida School Shooter Get $800k Inheritance

The woman who cared for Florida shooter Nikolas Cruz and his brother has filed court papers seeking control of their inheritance just one day after the massacre. Lynda Cruz the shooters mother died last year from flu related pneumonia last November causing the Cruz siblings to be put into the care of Roxanne Deschamps. Sources state that the value of the inheritance is $800k and the brothers would be able to access this at 22.

But the question is "Why should she get that money", she states she is entitled to control it by law, but how can that ethically be right that she, the person who was meant to be caring for Nikolas Cruz gets the money. She would have had some influence on him, maybe if she cared for him better than he wouldn't have caused these atrocities. I'm not saying he wouldn't have shot up the school as we have no way of knowing. But what we do know is that he had active social media accounts, and in one of them was a picture of him posing with lots of guns and weapons. Surely as the responsible adult you would have been concerned that he's bringing all these guns into the house. Plus it was a well known fact that he wasn't mentally stable with many of his peers at school giving their damning opinions on him. In addition to this he was kicked out for "bad behaviour".

My idea is leave $400k for the younger Cruz brother and offer the rest to the family's of the victims. I understand that it can't bring them back but it may make it easier with less money problems or they could use the money to honour them. I just think they are more deserving of the money than a carer who ultimately failed the child and the victims families.

Anyways that is my opinion on this story, comment what you think.
