WHEN IT RAINS, IT POURS

What happened this morning was one of the most frightening things that have ever happened to me. The picture was the view from my window few minutes before we decided to move to a safe place. The rain was very heavy and my mother-in-law was afraid that the water might increase more. People were just watching over it, guarding it. Waiting for the time to let others know if it is the time to really move to somewhere safe. This was the first time that I have experienced it since I live in the city.

My husband's family lived in an area near the river. It was hard my mother said but they have nowhere else to go. She said that this happening is not new to them but still scares them every time there is a heavy rainfall. Last year was even worst because one of their neighbor had died because of the calamity. Few of our belongings have been washed out of the floods too. Lucky for us, we are not here during that time when it happened because it would be more difficult for us to stay safe. Worst thing is that it happened on the wee hours of the morning.

I am just thankful that somehow the rain stopped and the river did not overflowed because we were able to go back to our home right away. Moreover, I am thankful because we are all safe.
