Offshore bite is heating up with the cooler temps

Took a trip with a few buddies out of St Pete and after netting up some bait we ran out to 60ft of water. First bait down was a greenback by Steve, he had a weird bite that seemed to crush his bait. He reeled up a mangled lizardfish that just ate his greenback then got eaten by something big but spit it out. I told him to fire that lizardfish back down and instantly he was hooked up to something big! After a nice back and forth battle on 30/30 Steve caught his personal best Gag grouper measuring 32".
