BannedBooksArt Report from June gallery and lessons learned

BannedBooksArt opened its first VR gallery on June 19th. We hosted 3 different gatherings in Discord. There were 5 paying patrons to the gallery, and art from 28 different artists.

The revenue was $292, and the finances broke down like this:

Only tickets for $25 or more had physical rewards. Of that, there were three people that qualified for physical rewards: One person declined the physical rewards so the extraneous amount was given to charity, one person received all of their rewards, and the other person never confirmed their mailing address. BannedBooksArt will be holding the money for that person’s reward until we hear back from them.

BannedBooksArt also received a $100 grant from MicroAcquire for winning third place in the #BuildSell30 contest.

I also created a blog on Hive. I have created 3 posts, not including this one, and generated about 63 cents. I will wait until there is about $50 before figuring out how to transfer this to fiat currency or donating it to a charity.

The charity donation breakdown was the following:

Rescue.org - $48.92
Voices of Children - $48.90
Feed the Children - $48.92

The July report will have an improved charity ratio due to reworking the reward tiers and no longer offering physical rewards.

One major lesson learned is that future galleries will only have one that benefits from it.

Thank you for reading this and consider buying a ticketto my next gallery that is opening July 16th, 2022
