A brilliant and bizarre medical student named Herbert West believes he holds the secret to life and death, but his arrogant 'why are you standing in my way' attitude isn't helping bring his dreams to reality. But soon he convinces his roommate, and fellow medical student, Dan Cain of his genius we he brings Cain's cat back from the dead.
Things become even more bizarre when one of the pairs lectures attempts to steal West's research for himself.
Re-Animator is based on the H.P.Lovecraft novelette Herbert West - Reanimator, and the first of several adaptations of Lovecraft's work by director Stuart Gordon, including From Beyond (1987) also with Combs in the lead and Dagon (2001)
