Last June we learned of the arrival of a new animated film by Mazinger Z, the famous robot that was the protagonist for a long time of television. Few additional details of the premiere of the film were known, until now.
Recall that this new film commemorates 45 years of the creation of manga, by Go Nagai, who gave life to the animation series. In the creation of the tape are personalities like Junji Shimizu, director in charge of multiple films of One Piece; Hiroya Iijima, in charge of the animation of series like Afro Samurai, and Takayuki Yanase, who will be in charge of the design of the characters. The production is by Toei Animation, one of the most important houses in Japan.
Synopsis of the film:
Humanity is once again in danger of falling into the grip of the Underground Empire, which in the past was led by the evil scientist Dr. Hell. Then, Koji Kabuto piloted the super robot Mazinger Z and, with the help of his friends from the Photonic Research Institute, thwarted the evil ambitions of Dr. Hell and restored peace to the world.
Ten years have passed since then. Now that he is no longer a pilot, Koji Kabuto has followed the path of his father and grandfather starting his career as a scientist. And now he finds a gigantic structure buried in the depths of Mount Fuji. But what is there? Because he also discovers a mysterious indication of life. New encounters, new threats and a new destiny await humanity. The ancient hero Koji Kabuto must make a decision about the future: to be a god or a devil ...
