"When you buy a package, you know what you're going to get," EA explains.

After applying what has been learned in past controversial loot boxes, EA will give a new layer of transparency to the envelopes and packages of FIFA Ultimate Team - commonly referred to as FUT - in FIFA 19 . Speaking with Eurogamer , Daryl Holt, vice president of EA Sports, explained that this time they will indicate the contents and probabilities of getting letter types in each package of this popular modality.

"In Ultimate Team, when you buy a package, you know what you're going to get, you have a set number of guaranteed cards , and we're going to add indications that show you the odds of what you can get," says Holt. "That will be present in all our 2019 titles."

Recently, EA came out in defense of its loot box system , declaring that it is not a game of chance at all. FIFA 19 will arrive on September 28 to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
