Barcelona look to be moving on from Hector Bellerin by launching a £26million bid for Benfica right-back and Manchester United target Nelson Semedo, according to reports in Portugal.
Arsenal right-back Bellerin has also been a top target for the Catalan giants, but reports earlier today suggested they’d ended their interest in the 22-year-old due to concerns that he wasn’t quite up to the standard they were looking for.
According to Record, it looks as though Barcelona are now prioritising Semedo after making a £26million bid for his services, though it is unlikely to be enough.
The Portugal international has a release clause of £44m, and it has previously been reported that Benfica won’t accept any less than that for the talented youngster.
It remains to be seen if Barcelona will increase their bid, with a number of other right-backs also being considered before the end of the summer.
