RE: FIGHTING CHILD PROTECTION SERVICES - KNOW YOUR RIGHTS - STOP THEM FROM LEGALLY KIDNAPPING YOUR CHILDREN!

Thank you, @hope777 for raising awareness about this issue. I talk about a couple of cases in the U.S. in which CPS allowed hospitals to kidnap kids. The story of Justina Pellitier, who had a mitochondrial condition reminded me of the case of Alfie Evans.

I also repeatedly tell my students, "If you don't know your rights, you don't have any!" Sadly, very few of my students over the years have been able to quote a single Article or Amendment to the US Constitution. Nearly all of them believe we live in a democracy (we don't- it's a republic according to Article 4, section 4 of the Constitution), so I teach them the difference between a democracy and a republic (in a democracy, rights are determined by majority opinion and sometimes it seems they can be granted and changed like the wind; in the U.S. republic, each individual has rights granted to him by his creator that cannot be taken away). Those rights include parental rights.
