WOKING - Bos McLaren, Zak Brown, insists his team is expecting high results in Formula One (F1) season 2018. It was revealed after successfully hook Renault as a supplier of new machines.

McLaren confidence seemed to increase after parting with Honda and joining Renault. Because the French engine manufacturer is a machine provider for the Red Bull team.

On the other hand Red Bull has been able to prove itself by competing with two top teams of Mercedes and Ferrari throughout the 2017 season. That makes McLaren more confident in using his new machine to welcome the 2018 season.

"We" are looking for a good position in the opening race in Australia in March 2018. To be honest we have a calm deficit on our engine, but we believe Renault can handle it and keep us competitive again on the track," said Brown, adapting from F1i Saturday / 1/2018).

"We had a good chassis last year, we knew about it and put the chassis back last season in 2018. And the improvement we made last season significantly was the construction of the chassis," he continued.

With McLaren's engine and chassis at their disposal to race in the 2018 F1 season, the Woking-based team hopes to gain success like Red Bull riders Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo, who took the podium in the 2017 season.

"The Mexican GP is a problem, but Max Verstappen can dominate the race very well, so I think they have a very fast machine, I hope to compete with three top teams of F1 or at least be able to reduce the deficit with them.
