Butte hike, Sakura, and doggy diapers, oh my

Today my wife and I went to the near by butte for a walk. It’s a pretty nice place for a walk. It takes about an hour and a half. The path is very steep and it’s a great place for clean air. The trees above were planted here along the trail and are not native to the area. They are Araucaria.

This location is also nice because it’s next to tea tree fields. They are quite a few of them around here.

The cherry blossoms-Sakura- are also starting to bloom. In a week or so they will be much more beautiful.

There are quite a few if these in the trees. My first thoughts were that they are bee hives, but I’ve never seen a lot of bees around here. So maybe they are another insect nest or even bird nest. Anyway, I’m not sticking around to find out.

Due to the wind, a lot of the trees here are beautifully formed. This is a typically wind formed tree.

Finally, there are quite a few areas that have a tree canopy. This makes it very nice in the summer. It’s so steep and hilly, one can really heat up. Then you get to one of these areas, and cool off.

Finally, I saw this puppy wearing a diaper. I don’t know if it’s home made or if this is a real product.

Anyway the puppy looked so cute.
