Everyone was fond of Nancy
There's nothing about her they wouldn't fancy
Her spotless skin could make you sin
Her calm voice makes the heavens rejoice

She's the pride of her mother and hope of her father
Her intelligence is sublime and her understanding; divine
Her character is excellent and her charisma; eminent
She seemed too perfect; the same reason i had to object

Everyone detests nate
There's nothing about him they wouldn't hate
I couldn't help but wonder why they see everything as a blunder
I knew they didn't understand; and their approval she could not demand

Nate was like an earthquake,
The tone of his voice could make the earth shake
She would also call him a hurricane
Almost like a drug she couldn't abstain

Nancy or nate?
Who do you fancy or hate?
It didn't matter anyway
Cause their love flourished everyday

This wasn't beauty and the beast
More like; mystery and deceit
They could smell the hate as far as from the gate
But it was late; no one could stop it cause this was fate

Shallow waters, wicked monsters…
Living in bondage; smiley coverage
Shut out from the world; their hearts were furled
But this did not matter because together they would never shatter

For these two? They found love in pages where strong words were painted…
Love, strength, understanding, trust, companionship …
Words that couldn't be traded
And so they refused to be abraded

They knew what true love really meant
And I tell you; they could not be content
Without the pleasures of romance
Of love's sweet, silly dance!

I wouldn't say they lived happily ever after
Or there was never laughter
I wouldn't say it was always rosy
Or it was never cosy

But this is the story of
Nancy and nate
And it really didn't matter who you
Fancy or Hate!
