What is painting? An art.
But what is painting for small kids, the youngest sweet angels about 2+ years?
It is expression of feelings and imagination through colors.
Colors! Not the form!!!
The main mistake of parents is that they teach kids to paint forms which look like real objects in life. In fact we must teach them to use colors!
My imagination about painting was turned upside down some months ago when I saw this man in the social web.
He is a painter. He is about 90 years old!! And he has created his own school and method of painting teaching. His school is free of charge!! Can you imagine? All info is given for free, and he is always in touch for advice. He teaches kids 2+ years old! What can they do at 2? But his kids already draw!!
His method is based on teaching colors and their mixes and combination. So, in short, we must show kids main colors and their blending and subtones, and he must feel the world through this knowledge. He discovers light and shadows, color mixing and subtones, he sees colors and only then he sees objects and forms!
Its his pupils works.
The progress is obvious, yeah? And its works of kids under 5 years old!
This theory teaches kids not only to draw but to explore the surrounding world faster and better. At 2+ kids start to develop much much faster using this theory because it makes the definite parts of brains work more. I studied experience of his kids and it impressed me. Only some months and kids start to draw not only colourful circles but real pictures! Moreover, these kids start to develop in different way, their imagination and life perception work much better, they are just more sensitive and clever, a miracle!
It depends on a kid, if it's interesting to him or not, but parents are great if they open a painting world door for them. It can be an important step for them.
I tried to open the door for my boy, and he was involved very fast, painting is so amazing for him and for me:)
