What would have happened if... Life in the subjunctive mood

Probably any of us at least once in life thought, it was necessary to make differently, it was necessary to choose other profession, it was necessary to buy all the same that car. When we are unhappy with something in the present, we often want to go back in time and fix something. This applies even to small things. For example, if we're late, we think we should have woken up earlier, we shouldn't have had coffee, we should have walked down the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator. I'm not talking about something more important, for example, career (entered the wrong Institute, chose the wrong profession), relationship (divorced or married the wrong person). But! We still can not change the past, so do not torment yourself with questions, that would be if... If you think about it, everything in life is not accidental. We never know, how a certain event will affect our lives. Very often tardiness can save our life. I read an article after the terrorist attack in America, when 2 twin towers were blown up. In this article people, who were late for work that day, talked about the reasons for being late. The reasons were many, ranging from the banal traffic jams on the road, to spilled in the morning on a suit of coffee or a child who has long eaten his breakfast. All these people thanked higher forces for what remained alive. But that morning, they probably thought, it was necessary... until they found out about the tragedy. Therefore, let's treat what is happening so-if something happens, then it is necessary.
