Lesson of the day

Today, after the church service, I went out with a friend to have a nice time, when we got to the spot, I noticed two kids (both less <4) were fighting over who to ride the above toy and I was lost in Trans.. Lol.. I mean I was caught in amusement..

The point being that..

  • The toy does not look like a car.
  • The so called toy is static, cannot move and then, the younger cried profusely just to get on the toy.

I began to ponder over the reason (s) why the kids were so interested in riding the static strategically placed toy.. Then, I was strucked in my heart that all humans are like that too.. Things that interest us when we were younger are no longer interesting.

When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruits in the garden of eden back in the old testament, the tree lost relevance

I did some reminiscing over those child's play I cannot do without back then.. Playing with sand, putting sand inside pant, playing Daddy and Mummy's role among others.

I stand then to believe that in years to come, we will look back at the things we do now and burst into laughter as we will gradually overgrow them.

The morale / lesson learnt today was: live each day as it comes, love more because at the end of the day we will all be over that pressing aspiration of ours we are presently struggling with and also DON'T BURN BRIDGES AS YOU DO NOT KNOW WHOSE FEET YOU WILL NEED TO CLEAN TOMORROW. WE KNOW THE PRESENT BUT TOMORROW IS A MYSTERY.
