Butterfly Life

Butterflies can be said to have twice the life after two births. The first he started life as a caterpillar after hatching from his eggs with a bad, even frightening and destructive appearance, and entered life a second time after being a beautiful winged creature that is butterfly. The two lives are totally different without leaving the marks of their previous lives, as if they were two different beings. Even if we were not informed or studied, we would think so.

We can observe that the life of the caterpillar will end if it does not transform itself into a butterfly through a process of "kepompongisasi". It should be noted that caterpillars can not necessarily turn into butterflies, but must go through the transition process as a cocoon first. In addition, the caterpillar begins the process of cocooning at the peak of its growth, not when it begins dying.

Butterflies have a slender posture, the wings are generally brightly colored and attractive, the antenna at the edges is enlarged. When the wing rests close and perpendicular to the body so it looks is the bottom wing surface. Butterflies and moths have enormous variations. All kinds of butterflies and moths pass through life stages such as eggs, larvae, pupae and eventually morphed into butterflies or moths. Butterflies generally live by sucking honey flowers (nectar / flower essence). However, some other species such as liquids are sucked from fruits that fall on the ground and rot, carrion, bird droppings and wet soil.

Metamorphosis process as experienced caterpillar to butterfly is not enough contained with the word change only. Changes that include all these aspects more precisely called a transformation that contains the meaning of interchange of form, from one form to another entirely. The form here implies not only the physical form, but also the "spirit" and the way of life.

Butterflies play an important role in maintaining ecosystem balance. The arrival of a butterfly on a blooming flower is to get the nectar found at the base of the flower. During the nectar, accidentally the pollen contained in the flower will stick to the body of the butterfly. The pollen will stick to the feet and butterfly wings, it will fall into the flower's other pistil heads when the butterflies fly or when the butterflies perched on top of other flowering plants. Pollination (pollination) plants closely related to the survival of the next generation of plants.
