Lizards are small Squamata sequence reptiles, which they share with snakes (Ophidians). The lizard is a cold-blooded reptile that has a long tail and four legs, the animal is scaly and slippery.

Lizards exist in varying sizes, colors and shapes. The lizards have a slimy appearance, but they are actually dry. Some lizard-like glass lizards do not have a functional arm and like many lizards, their tail will break up as a defense mechanism. While the predator eats a lizard tail, escapes the lizard and its tail will eventually re-grow. Many lizards are also able to regenerate lost limbs meaning that if the lizard loses its limbs through conflict with the predator, it will grow back like their tail.
