The lavender

The lavender flower (Lavandula angustifolia, or Lavandula) is commonly used as an ingredient for fragrances, soaps, shampoos, deodorants, aromatherapy and medicines.

The lavender name is derived from the Latin root lavare, which has the notion of "to wash".

The study has also confirmed that the flower lavender is able to provide calming, soothing effects, and as a mild sedative by inhaling the aroma.
