Masjid Al Akbar Surabaya is the second largest Mosque in Indonesia, that became one of the portrait of mosque figure which become pillar of social activity.
On 20 November 2000 the mosque was inaugurated by President KH Abdurrahman Wahid and able to accommodate 30,000 jama'ah.
