Mujair fish is a type of freshwater fish commonly consumed. The natural spread of this fish is the waters of Africa and in Indonesia, first discovered by Mr. Mujair at the mouth of the Serang River south coast of Blitar, East Java in 1939. Although it remains a mystery, how can the fish reach the remote estuary south of Blitar, do not help the fish named 'mujair' to commemorate the inventor.

Tilapia is closely related to their more popular brother, tilapia. Together with manfish / angelfish fish, discus fish, lohan fish and oscar fish, tilapia fish and tilapia belonging to the Cichlid family.
Tilapia fish live in groups. The ideal place of life for mujair fish is in calm waters such as mud, freshwater rivers and lakes. Although tilapia can be kept in the aquarium, they will not grow as fast as tilapia fish raised in ponds or outdoors.

Tilapia is a recalcitrant species (can adapt to environmental conditions that are not ideal). Tilapia has a high tolerance for salinity in water (salinity), so it can still survive in brackish water. They can also live in water with an above average ammonia content or with limited oxygen content.
