Seumadu Island is an island that became a tourist attraction in Muara Satu District, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh Province and became one of the attractions visited by many tourists. Formerly this place is called Rancong Beach, but now more famous by the name of Seumadu Island. the origin of the name Seumadu itself because once the area is often used for the residence of a second wife with her husband. There is one husband who also has two wives named Mr. Jali. Pak Jali built a stall near Rancong Beach and it was the first and only shop there. The shop is called Seumadu. Since then the local people began to call this place a Seumadu Island.
