Life in the village is very hard, in his childhood saddam often out of the house by equipping themselves with weapons as a means of self defense because of frequent inter-clash with peers. At the age of 16 years Saddam had become the head of a street gang. At the age of 17 years Saddam killed one of his rivals until his imprisonment of 6 months. At the age of 19 years had conspired to overthrow the ruling monarchy and at the age of 21 attempted murder by shooting the Iraqi prime minister with a Machine gun.

Saddam Hussein Became the President of Iraq
At the age of 20 he plunged into politics by joining the Baath Party. Saddam played an important role in the Baath Party's coup against the then Iraqi President, Abdul Rahman Arif in 1968. The coup was led by Baath Party president Hasan Al Bakr, who, after the coup, took office. Saddam was appointed Hasan Al Bakr's deputy and occupied that position for 15 years. During that time, Saddam carried out repressive actions against the Iraqi people. Once more powerful, Sadam eliminated Hasan Al Bakr and seized the position of president and leader of the Baath Party.

Shortly after Sadam became the leader of the Baath party, he undertook a massive cleanup in the party body. The opponents were killed. The clerics opponents of Saddam are also killed or tortured in prison. For 35 years as leader of the Baath Party, he committed mass killings against Kurdish people in northern Iraq and Shi'ites in southern Iraq.

Some historians believe, since before the 1968 coup, Saddam had actually established a relationship with the United States. According to them, Saddam after the 1959 assassination of Abdul Karim Qasim fled to Egypt and in this country he was in contact with CIA agents. Four years later, Saddam returned to Iraq.
