Ramania is a native species of Indonesia that is also famous in several other countries such as the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia which is a rare plant species. The ramania tree itself is very large can reach 27 meters with bright brown bark and fruit shaped slightly round to yellow to orange. Fruit flavor is very fresh that is sour and sweet and has a very distinctive terpetin smell. Ramania fruit is divided into 2 types of hintalu which has a more acidic taste and also ramania pipit with sweet taste and flesh darker. This ramania fruit is generally consumed in a fresh or re-processed into syrup and sweets.
