In my opinion this was the best one in the series and it is a shame that the series lost its edge over time.
Back then it was one of those game everyone played and for good reason.
The gameplay, soundtrack and graphics were all great.
With the rise of esports and the games with the big variety of games which are played in the scene, I cant help but wonder if Tony Hawk would be a game played for big chunks of money as well.
It was the multiplayer title back there through the many different games you could play (this was at a time where multiplayer was done in person and not over the internet)
As mentioned the variety of games considered esports is wide. Almost every Beat em up, Hearthstone, DOTA, LoL, Starcraft and many more.
I am sure Tony Hawk would have find a niche somewhere if the series did not turn to shit.
