ASSERTING AN ERROR

ASSERTING AN ERROR

In one instance you see a guy wrongly accused of having slept with someone else's wife and the evidence is there to nail him. The community will say "this guy is guilty". In this scenario, just like the incidence between Joseph and Portiphar's wife, everybody is wrong except the accused. The community is wrong!

In another scenario, everybody has a reason to agree to the popular story that the guy accused of stealing is actually a thief. And even when he argues, we will say "the whole community can't be lying and only you telling the truth". This time around the community is correct.

So the community can get it right at certain times as well as miss the truth sometimes. The fact that everybody can be wrong sometimes except one person has really made many hold unto an error, misconception or a lie and will resist all attempts to correct them. He wouldn't want to see the light people are showing him on the discourse.

Even if we have most of them as young ministers who believe they have known too much to be thought, we have them in virtually all spheres.

If you belong to this group, you may not go too far even though if you look as though you will especially if what you are holding on to tenaciously is an error. Your arrogance in ignorance gets so many people pissed off and very soon you will lose credibility and acceptability.

I'm Jay Sun and I believe life is about listening to the next person, objectively asses the legibility of what is being said, learn, unlearn, relearn.
