New free game in the Epic Games Launcher this week - which game is it?

The Epic Games Store has also prepared a free full game version for this week. As the store announces via its website and launcher, users will soon have access to Crying Suns. You will receive the tactical roguelite for free from 7 January - the activation should take place as usual at 5 pm. You will then have one week to link the full version to your game library in the Epic Games Store for free. The promotion ends on 14 January.

If you have linked Crying Suns to your account by then, you can keep the full version permanently and play it an unlimited number of times. In Crying Suns you take on the role of a space fleet commander and explore a mysterious fallen empire. A procedurally generated universe, tactical battles between battle cruisers and their squadrons, and more than 300 possible story events await you. You can get an impression of the next free game in the Epic Games Store in the trailer embedded below.

Until the release of the next free full version, the Epic Games Store is still giving away Jurassic World Evolution. The dino theme park manager is the last game that the platform is giving away as part of the holiday offers. In the XMAS promotion, the store gave away 15 games over 15 days, including Torchlight 2, Solitairica, Stranded Deep and Night in the Woods. You can find a lot more information about the Epic Games Store on our topic page. In 2020 and 2019, the platform already distributed at least one PC game to users every week. Users have already been able to compile a considerable collection of games.
