Hello Friends! Nowadays, a New crypto project is offering their coin for free through the Airdrop program. But some people are creating many Fake Airdrop program to scam people.
EOS, One of the popular Cryptocurrency based on Ethereum Network in early days. So, Scammers use this EOS name and create a new fake token called eosPrivate. The Scammers spread this through the Airdrop program over Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, etc.
The Scammers try their best to create a fake website with a WhitePaper and RoadMap. Two domain name are used for this Fake site, https://eosprivate.io and https://eosprivate.network. Also, they add some Airdrop GUIDELINES to make it real. The Guidelines are as follows.
- The eosPRIVATE Airdrop program ends on 17th June 2018.
- You will receive a total of 1000 eosPRIVATE tokens ($300) if you complete all the required steps and tasks.
- Your referral link will be sent to your email few minutes after your register.
- Only the first 30,000 registrations are eligible for the referral program.
Once you participate in this Airdrop program, They sent you a mail to complete the KYC process. In the KYC process, you have to fillup Name, email, Ethereum address. After entering your Ethereum Address, they ask you to verify Ethereum address through a link, which is a Fake MyEtherWallet. 
Here you have to enter your Ethereum Wallet Private Key in order to get an encrypted message for the verification.
- Note * Once you submit the private key or the encrypted message, the scammers will get the full control of your Ethereum wallet.
*If you have installed the MetaMask extension, It also prevent you to access this fake site. Here is the screenshot
Now, I have some other proof against this scam site.
I checked the domain age and get these result.

Here, both the domains are booked for only 1 year. These two domains are bought from NameCheap, where you can buy 1 year Hosting for only $12.
Now if you look at the URL on the screenshot, Both the domains are using HTTPS instead of HTTP. But if you are a pro user, you can view the certification details like validity, provider name, etc. After checking the details, I got each of these domains are using a free certificate with the validity of only 3 months provided by COMODO which provide Free SSL Certificate for 90 Days to Enable HTTPS for Website.
So, after all these proof, it is definitely a scam site and the scammer are trying to steal your wallet private key through the airdrop program. So, before participating in any airdrop please check carefully and don't share your wallet Private Key.
