Bitshares is the first of the Graphene DPOS systems is Bitshares created by @dan Larimer before steem & before the current EOS project coming out in July. I hope you can see how Steem arose out of Bitshares and how EOS will arise out of Steem by adding, among many things, smart contracts & the ability to launch new smart contract EOS tokens like Erc20s and EOS will have it's own ICOs faster better cheaper than ETH with $0 transaction fees! It's just a beautiful visualization of our Bitshares Transactions, a fully decentralized and operational exchange that only needs some more volume to compete with the big exchanges! For small users it is perfect & you can get all your trading needs taken care of but larger users need bigger volume which can be solved easy with the addition of a few big whales & their creating of liquidity in the bitshares markets, meaning if bitshares let's you buy or sell EOS for bitshares or Bitcoin or USD then people who bring EOS tokens to sell on Bitshares end up being heroes who provide the liquidity AND since the price is higher you can do arbitrage & make MONEY providing EOS for a whole exchange which may be paying high prices for it!
