Steem ENS was officially launched more than 2 weeks ago and today I want to talk about sponsoring Steem ENS. As mentioned, every 150 SP delegated allows the delegator to lease 1 Steem ENS name. Hence, it is possible to delegate in multiples of 150 SP and sponsor Steem ENS names to other Steemians. This at the same time also adds to the tally of the ENS names associated to the respective project.
For example, @culgin delegated 300 SP to @steem.ens, @culgin can then lease one Steem ENS name associated to @steem.leo project (e.g. culgin.steemleo.eth). With the excess 150 SP, @culgin can also sponsor a Steem ENS to a fellow Steemian, in this case maybe @mrshev. @culgin might choose to support @threespeak this time and opt for the mrshev.3speak.eth ENS name. In this case, both SteemLeo and 3Speak got 1 name added to the tally. The sponsor will have the ultimate say on which project to support.
