Energy is the basis for wealth

John Maynard Keynes suggested that human labor was the basis for wealth, but he was wrong. A fit human being can put out around 100 W of power. Assuming this can be kept up for 8 hours, then a fit worker can generate around 0.8 KWh of energy during a day. The same worker, if in an electrified shop with a 5KW connection can turn out 40 KWh of work. Who will be wealthier?
