Hi all, please allow me to present to you my latest portrait in colored pencil, Girl In Turban. I have not drawn in colored pencils for a long time but as I mentioned in my previous post, Pencil Portrait | The Eyes, I am working on a series of portraits to improve my portraiture skills. I am so inspired by so many beautiful arts shared by fellow Steemians and it spurred me to keep practicing and improving.
I am a fan of the Dutch Old Master painter, Johannes Vermeer and I think most of you are familiar with his most famous painting (a tronie), Girl With a Pearl Earring. My drawing is inspired by Vermeer's masterpiece. One of these days I must draw my own version of that masterpiece as a tribute to Vermeer.
The medium I am using for this piece is Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils on Fabriano Accademia paper. (Links are affiliate links).
