Electric planes...the future of air travel?🤷🏾‍♂️

So we all know about how electric cars have come to stay as the battery technology is now finally ready to meet car driving demands, well is the technology ready to meet our air travel demands and thus drop drastically the cost used in air travels? Well as of now we are not quite there yet as the most practical electric planes available right now can only travel short distances thus making it only viable for pilot training and short distance flights lets take a look at the alpha electro owned and operated by an Australian company {electro aero}, the price for test flight is $3 per hour as opposed to $30 using a similar plane {cessana 172} not to mention the fact that because an electric plane has less moving parts than a regular plane and so wear and tear is less on the electric plane, flight time is over an hour plus reserve (presently) and while this technology seems promising it still has its limitations. More info coming soon...let me know what you think by replying 🙂
