ALMAWARDI’S PERSPECTIVE OF EDUCATIONAL VALUE IN ADAB AD-DUNYA WA AD-DIN

The main purpose of Islamic education is producing a well-mannered figure and scholar. People in order to get knowledge and know the Islamic akhlak need guidances. Besides, they face many challenges and temptations to reach their life goals. Almawardi came with his contribution in Islamic education field. He is a Muslim scholar, a writer of book Adab ad-Dunya wa ad-Din who get concerned into the Islamic education. This research purposed to find and explain Mawardi’s perspective of educational value in images (6).pngAdab ad-Dunya wa ad-Dinits relevance with the contemporary education. It has good validity research, based on its figure approach supported by analysis interpretation, induction, internal coherent, heuristic, and inclusive explanation. It came with the result of formulating educational values to develop learning process, they are: godness, sincerely, humanity, individual etic, family etic, social etic, nation etic and religion etic. These educational values are relevantand in line with the paradigm of modern education scholars namely student center (a learning pattern centralized by students). According to Almawardi the great successful of education will never escape from the nine major factors, those are: brain, intelligence, strength memories, spirit,facilities, concentration, obstacles elimination, lifelong education, and teacher guidance within learning process. The next similar research is really needed in order to find the better elaboration of educational value in Almawardi’s perspective.
