Learn Guitar: Interval Spacing 1, 2, 4, 5

Today we will discuss another interval spacing. The intervals in this progression would be 1, 2, 4, 5.

For the first interval in C Ionian, would be C Maj, for 2, would be D Min, for 4, would be F Maj, for G Maj.

So the interval progression is nice uplifting and upbeat, though there is the 2 interval as a minor, the rest of it is majors.

One could solo in C Ionian, or A Aeolian or any other mode that is in those keys. One could also modulate to a key like E Aeolian which contains many of the same notes and not sound too off, perhaps great. Music is all about what sounds great so even if the math is not perfect subject to some scale, it is all good.

Tomorrow we will delve into the final section which will discuss melodic, harmonic modifications, various arpeggio excersises and other things.
