Think Like A Rich Person: Money lessons from Rich Dad #2

rich.png

„You’re only poor if you give up. The most important thing is that you did something. Most people only talk and dream getting rich. You’ve done something. I’m very proud of the two of you. I will say it again: Keep going.”

This this the one good thing that poor dad said to his son.
A lot of people just talk about how to do something. And only few of them really do.

„A nice car and a nice house don’t necessarily mean you’re rich or you know how to make money.”

Often people inherit big money, buy houses, cars. But the money is running out quickly, and they are having problems. They have a fear of losing everything. And then people become prisoners or slaves of money. It's scary, but most people live like that. In fear.

When the boys were asked rich dad to teach them about the money, he did the next:

  • He invited boys at the scheduled time
(teaching them to appreciate someone else's time and be punctual)

  • He forced the boys to sit in line and wait about two hours
(thereby showing that not everything comes instantly)

  • He did not tell them how to make money, but decided to show it in practice.
(return to what many people say, but few really do)

  • He gave them a job for a very low fee
    (only 10 cents per hour)

  • He made them make a choice. A nice game of baseball or a hard and low-paid job.
(we always face a choice. And to make a rightful one is very difficult.)

After little Robert gave in, rich dad did not laugh, but invited the boy to talk. He also allowed the frustrated and offended boy to speak out.

Whereupon Rich dad gave the first lesson.

„Life pushes all of us around. Some people give up and others fight. A few learn the lesson and move on. They welcome life pushing them around. To these few people. It means they need and want to learn something. They learn and move on. Most quit, and few like you fight.”
