I have successfully used bitcoin to pay for 3 semesters of college and I'm getting prepared to pay for the 4th.
Looking back though, my choice of using bitcoins to pay for college has theoretically cost a miniture fortune!
The first semester I used bitcoins on was roughly 2 1/2 years ago... and I only partially used bitcoins to pay because I didn't wan't to cash out "That Many", which was 3 BTC.
At the Time 3 BTC = ~ $1200
Then last year fall semester I cashed out 5 Bitcoins which, once again, didn't fully cover the cost of classes.
2 Summers ago, 5 BTC = $2,500
Then we get to this semester where I fully paid for classes with bitcoins, More than happily cashing out 1.34 BTC for an estimated $3,500!
Since I have been planning to pay for next spring semester also with bitcoins. I have scheduled a full load due to money falling from the sky when owning Bitcoins...
Luckily this semester only will cost 0.75 BTC = $4,500
So.. ~10 BTC @ $11,500 all towards college!
Had I kept all those bitcoins
10 BTC at todays rate of $6,000 per...
~ $60,000 !!!
With 2+ Semesters remaining I feel that as long as bitcoin keeps on going higher... Bitcoin will pay for the rest of my education!
But I not really sure how to feel about the situation...
Paying for most of college with bitcoins is a pretty cool way to pay for an education without accruing debt...
But the fact that tuition may have cost the equivalent of $1 million dollars one day...
I better have $1 million dollars when that time comes!
