half-awake, dizzy
munching food in haste
brushing teeth sans paste.
pens, paper, books, water color,
honking bus awaiting,
poor kid running.
teacher grinning,
“pass your assignments!
one, two, three, . . ., ten!”
then new projects again.
survived studies’ trail,
tho’ climbs been uphill,
element’ry to tertiary,
skills honed all the way.
now, ’tis graduation day,
jubilation! celebrations! yehey!
sweat, tears, frowns to oblivion,
onward to a bright horizon!
