Gayo Arabica Coffee

Enjoying a cup of Sanger coffee with the cool air and views of the Gayo highlands, it feels like peace in the midst of the complicated routines of big cities. The traffic-free roads even allow the local residents' sheep and cows to walk leisurely on the highway.

In Gayo Lues, several coffee shops also sell their flagship coffee, Sanger. This Sanger coffee is known to be the most famous coffee in Aceh because of its unusual processing. It takes precision and special coffee beans to serve not just any milk coffee.

Usually for Sanger the coffee beans are different. The coffee is Arabica Gayo too but the aroma is not too strong, it's more brown too (coffee beans).

From appearance, at first glance Sanger coffee is similar to milk coffee. However, what is unique about Sanger is that the composition of milk is not dominant, thus making the aroma and taste of the coffee more pronounced. This mixture of filtered coffee and condensed milk is then shaken until frothy. There are also those who serve it without shaking it, as in one of the coffee shops in the Gayo Highlands.

The people of Aceh themselves cannot be separated from coffee. Coffee also automatically becomes the first treat if you visit people's homes. This culture has also been passed down from generation to generation considering that the city nicknamed the Veranda of Mecca is the main commodity of coffee.

Even when they work, the people of Aceh enjoy coffee, both office workers, construction workers, planters, farmers. they enjoy coffee accompanied by fried foods during break time. The people of Aceh cannot be separated from coffee, even the author also enjoys a cup of Sanger Arabica Gayo coffee while writing this article.
