I'm Tim and I have 0.4k followers (Do the numbers really matter?)

You see it left and right, people throwing follower/subscriber numbers at you. But what does that mean?

Personally, I'm more interested in the number of intereactions. How many people can you organically reach on this platform? Now that is something worth bragging about, the number of people who you can truly engage and have interact with your content.

Of course, it is seen as an achievement on other social media platforms, to amass a huge amount of followers, but does it really count if they don't even see or 'like' your work?

I'd like to see that way of thinking change, especially as this platform grows, I'd love to see people worry less a about competing to gain more followers and chase the authentic engagement itself. At the end of the day, engaging and interacting with this community, literally creates Steem, and that my friends adds even more value to feedback than ever before.

This is why I wanted to start the #dtubedaily community in the first place. To create a place where all creators are one and the same, regardless of skill and create a collection of people who genuinely interact and give feedback daily to those who do the same.

Be a good follower, it's the steemy thing to do.

Thanks for stopping by, leave some words below and lets get talking.
