My first dtube post is The last of the VX footage from Minnesota's TPC crew. TPC 4
TPC now has a STEEMIT, which we will be using to post our skate videos.
I want to start a skateboarding community on steemit. I feel like my name, @web-gnar is a good name to facilitate that community.
We could have skate contests, where people film themselves doing tricks, saying something at the beginning of the video like "Steem Skate week 25" of whatever week is the current contest.
To have skate events on Steemit every week like @luzcypher does with OPENMIC. He has created a huge community of people that come together each week to share their videos. It's all self funded too, everyone upvotes the facilitator, who then can afford to pay out the participants. It's totally awesome and looks like its working great.
There is now a Steem Talent show created by @donnaincancun which is going to be like an online talent show on Steemit. It will be interesting to see the kinds of skills people bring to the table other than music performances.
Currently there are not many skateboarders on steemit but I want to change that! I only know of @skate, who posts videos that he finds on the internet, none of which are his original content, which is not cool. But there is a skateboarder from the United Kingdom, @nicolcron who is a real ass skateboarder like me who is posting raw, real content on steemit.
I want to start a hashtag #steemskate where we can all congregate to support each other's work. Skateboarders are a HUGE community and played a huge role in Instagram's popularity when iphones first started coming out.
