Ski with me #2 – World Cup slope in Hinterstoder!

Even though weather has not been good today, my girlfriend and me went skiing in Hinterstoder, Upper Austria. In this video I will show you parts of the track being used for worldcup races.

The track is named "Hannes-Trinkl-Weltcupstrecke" after an Austrian downhiller - Hannes Trinkl. He won six world cup races, bronze at the olympic downhill race in Nagano (JAP) 1998 and the gold medal in the 2001 world championships in St. Anton (SUI) at the downhill race. The slope is about 3500 meters long and has a inclination of up to 60 degrees.

As you can see in the video, it was quite snowy today. Enjoying a meal outside was definitely not an option today!

Despite the fact that tons of natural snow were falling down today, they still had turned on all snow cannons in order to produce artificial snow! Have you ever seen a snow cannon? Well, here is one blowing out masses of snow!

Well, I hope you can enjoy the video - Please ignore today's english - It just wasn't on point. Lost track in my mind countless times - The skiing needed more attention today! You will see why ;)

Until next time!
