today I administered pain relief in the form of a comfort food delivery within 2 hrs from 3000 miles away, which I paid for by having video conversations.

Forget the fucking Jetsons.

We are living prime algorithmic decadence in the form of distributed value exchange. I’m not going to go into all the elements (because I can’t be bothered) but basically by having a conversation and engagements in one corner of the web, I can feed my partner on the other side of the planet, hand delivered within a few hours — that’s crazy.

She’s been having a seriously rough time of things lately and I know first hand what it’s like to feel like everything you are doing has no impact and especially when it comes to recovery and health — it’s a really uphill battle at times just to get over the top of the problems, you get up, then something brings you down again and it feels like a reboot, from scratch, starting at 0.

I’m always seeing things by online companies where they promise to have things delivered quickly, with amazon for instance it’s the next day, in some places you can get things in a few hours, even an hour maybe — I’m not sure how I feel about the sustainability index on that but I presume not everyone is doing it and if they were then the delivery trucks would run on electric.

Again, assumption on my part but here is hoping that people with half a brain could see that logically it makes more sense to have vehicles that don’t add to the global issues we have — I’m sure with the software and tools they have distribution and route planning is baked in there.

I tried to get some same day UK treats to pick her up and ended up going with next day delivery on those, not happy with that and wanting to try the thing from 3000 miles away (we already did to the door pizza years back) I decided to action a two hour delivery.

it went super smooth, they bagged it and left it on the stoop outside and it was done when they said it would be — I avoided some things like tomatoes and lettuce (because of the romaine scare) but I managed to hook my partner up from my desk thousands of miles away — it was great to see her unpack it on video, really brought hope the ways we can exchange value in the globally connected economy.

I’m looking forward to when she get’s her UK treats today after her PT session, at least she will be able to celebrate and have some good England memories activate from it — because really, at the end of the day, that’s what this life is for right?

Stacking SATS and stacking MEMORIES ;)

Peace and Love
