Centipede Babies

The video of these centipede babies I took in the coastal area of Ujong Pancu district of Aceh Besar.

The centipede babies are in a small hole with the mother. It looks like these babies are only a few days old. They are under the supervision of their mother.

Reproduction of the centipede does not involve copulation. The males extract spermatophore to take the female centipede by putting their eggs in the hole in the ground, and the females fill the holes with the soil and leave them. The number of eggs laid ranges from about 10 to 50. The embryo development time for hatching varies greatly and can last from one to several months. source
