YouTube has been a great source of information on harm reduction of drug use.
It seems YouTube has recently come out "guns blazing" issuing strikes on popular YouTubers like PsychSubstance, Your Mate Tom, and The Drug Classroom. These YouTubers have already had a difficult time gaining any monetary gains due to YouTubes policy's.
YouTube claims they've had this policy since 2013 and have just recently started to enforce it. What's alarming though is the number of false strikes. A few mushroom grows have been recently targeted for no apparent reason. These mushroom growers make videos on edible mushrooms and have had a few videos deleted.
Whoever is in charge of this wave of censorship is certainly trigger happy and ignorant to mycology.
Social media is full of people complaining about this new wave of censorship. Many are leaving YouTube and seeking freedom on other platforms such as Dtube.
Personally, I cannot see why YouTube would censor these harm reduction videos and still allow music videos that promote harmful drugs and violence.
Harm reduction videos actually make a difference allowing people to use substances in a safe way. People are going to do drugs regardless.
